MIS Course Sponsorship

MIS course sponsorship creates a track record for undisputed excellence in quality, relevance and impact of course delivery. It benefits students, faculty, and corporate sponsors ensuring that graduating students acquire the necessary key skills and concepts to be successful. Sponsors essentially paves way to enhance the “Carlson” brand in the marketplace. Course sponsorship develops curriculum which incorporates course content from “Real World” business experiences and interaction with business community exposing students to emerging business and technology trends. Sponsors become involved with a specific course, assist in the design and delivery of the course, and contribute content.

Sponsors provide one or more of the activities in addition to collaborative planning:

  • Collaborative Planning – Faculty and corporate representatives will work together to develop the sponsored course, its content, structure and approach. The intent is to design a course that leverages the available resources and skills of all parties to achieve the maximum benefit for all stakeholders.
  • Content Contributions – The sponsoring organization would work with the faculty to develop, collect and present content to support the overall course objectives: data, case studies, and presentations.
  • Time Commitments – Sponsorhisp activities that require time and effort from an extended team: speakers and mentors.
  • Events - Activities outside the classroom that are organized by the sponsoring organization to augment the course activities: tours and company presentations.
  • IS Methodology – The contribution to the course of structured methodology to support processes and content within the course. The sponsoring organization would participate in the facilitation and support of the methodology throughout the duration of the course: Approach and materials to support.
  • Technology Resources – The sponsoring organization would provide the technological tools necessary to provide hands-on experience to the students in the course: hardware and software.
