Event Registration

Abstract

Achieving synergy between the diverse knowledge and skills across the combined enterprise is an elusive goal, partly because identification of breadth, depth, physical and functional location of expertise is based on limited and sometimes biased information. In this presentation, a mapping methodology designed to improve analysis of combined enterprise knowledge strengths and vulnerabilities as well as resulting resource allocation decisions is described. The IT group, as one of the key partners in acquisition integration, may find that engaging in such mapping activity can deliver a value added, natural extension of application of IT analysis skills to integration. In addition, IT itself is a key area where the analysis of redundant and/or possibly deficient capabilities is critical to an acquisition.
